Jerry's lungs were abnormally small. The right and left
weighed 325g and 352g, respectively. Focal lesions were conspicuous, and each lung was severely oedematous,
with a glistening red appearance upon sectioning. Having atrophied, each was filled with fluid and secretions.
Pulmonary vessels displayed assorted emboli and stenoses - and large bilateral pleural effusions of 100-125mls were
also in evidence. Jerry smoked Pall Malls - and the Ultra-Kind.
