Overall, the contents of the peritoneal cavity were
normal. The liver weighed 1.7kg, and displayed the familiar "nutmeg" pattern of chronic
passive venous congestion. The gall bladder contained bile and a single large pigment stone
(3.2 cm diameter). Bile flowed freely to the duodenum, which showed no evidence of previous ulceration.
The appearance of the pancreas was A-OK!
